To continue the story...again Miss Cindy and I had a real nice visit...after saying our goodbyes, I'd head on over to meet up with Mr. Bert...a Friend and Brother in Christ...we chatted for awhile...and off it was to Ashland to visit with Fr. Lee...a Roman Catholic Priest friend...who is now retired...do keep him in your prayers, for he is a true Shepherd of God. We had a nice long visit...it would be near seven thirty before I departed for Middlesboro, via US-23, which would take me down thru Pikeville...but not before I would cross the border into Ohio and West Virginia...just to say, "I was there today!"...border crossings and towns are intriguing to me...a sense of "absolute boundry" I guess...and the need to cross them! But of course I would get turned around in Louisa, Kentucky, and have to backtrack a bit...but back on the road to Jenkins and Whitesburg...towns I haven't seen in years...and heard...there is in Whitesburg a cool little radio station, WMMT 88.7 FM ...a small non-commercial public station dedicated to preservation of the music of Southern Appalachia...when back in 1998, while delivering car parts in this area from Knoxville, I would tune in...and enjoy Must close here for now...untill the future...
