Hello from Middlesboro, my hometown! Enjoyed the visits with my dear friends and the trip into the "Depths of Kentucky"! A good time it was! Arrived in Nicholsville in time for the Liturgy at St Athanasius', it was so good to hear the Byzantine Chant that Basil and the choir had worked so hard on...there is such an "air" with Byzantine and Arab Chant!...a sense of timelessness...eternity, eh!?

Afterwards visited with my "Family"...of whom I have not seen since last August. A wonderful reunion it was! I love these folks! A small group of us wandered over to a Mexican restaurant for a Lenten meal.

Then, Mr. Basil and I talked for awhile...one cool cat!...then out of nowhere...out of the darkness of night...Mr. Chris appereared...disguised as a mild-mannered sound-man in a nonchalant van...he spoke with authority...asking questions and making proclamations...we three would talk, laugh, and then sigh, for we would part...in a westwardly direction to the quiet Protestant hamlet of Wilmore...where the warmth of hospitality of Mr. Chris and Mrs. Tabitha and their children would greet me...after eating and being merry and wishing that we could drink...we would continue talkin' and laughin'...and then Mr. Chris would introduce the realm of bloggin'...a world unbeknownst to me...I shook hands with it, and we became Gumbati's... The sun would soon rise, we again would eat, visit and would part untill our next visit.

From there I would travel up to Lexington and meet with a good friend and classmate, Miss Cindy...we had lunch, and talked up a storm...a true Lady she is! I must close here for now...will return for the rest of this story.
